Devotional today was simple yet the most profound thing there is.

The series is dealing with anxiety…

And today’s verse, Philippians 3:14: I press on toward the goal for the prize of upward call of God is Christ Jesus.

Basically, in order for us to deal with anxiety, we need to put God as priority and have faith that everything will happen the way it needs to happen.

I’m not saying that this is a cure, or this is easy in any way, or this is what everyone NEED to do.

All I am saying is that when we feel anxious, remember that the feeling comes from us trying to change something that is either unchangeable or us thinking about the future and how it is playing out exact opposite of how we want it to happen.

Either way, we are not prioritizing God in our mind. We are prioritizing our thoughts over everything.

Lesson today — Whenever you feel anxious, what you need to do is sit, find something that you can do to stop your mind from going haywire. Either that’s prayer, meditation, favorite music, look at the ceiling and laugh, or anything to get you out of the cycle. Then say to yourself — God, thank you for always standing in my corner.

No matter what, I’ll be praying for you. :)
